Khorly

The village of Khorly is located on the Hirkyi Kut peninsula, which is washed by the Black Sea, 20 kilometers south of Kalanchak. The shape of the peninsula resembles the contours of Crimea, it is connected to the continent by a narrow isthmus.

Khorly was founded in 1897 on the lands of the landowner Sofiya Falts-Feyn, whose family had huge properties in the Kherson region. The village actively developed as a seaport through which agricultural products were sent abroad. A sea station building was built, a customs office and a ship repair dock were in operation.

Khorly was founded in 1897 on the lands of the landowner Sofiya Falts-Feyn, whose family had huge properties in the Kherson region. A park with a spring on the northeastern edge of the village has been preserved. In the park area near the port, there is a fountain with the sculpture "Bathroom" (1903) and a monument to Sophiya Falts-Feyn, killed in 1919 by the Bolsheviks. The port facilities are semi-ruined.

Currently, the village of Khorly is a quiet, underdeveloped resort. The combination of steppe and sea air masses creates favorable conditions for improving the respiratory system.

Село активно розвивалося як морський порт, через який за кордон відправлялася сільськогосподарська продукція. Було споруджено будинок морського вокзалу, діяла митниця та судноремонтний док.

Зберігся парк з джерелом на північно-східній околиці села. В парковій зоні біля порту - фонтан зі скульптурою "Купальниця" (1903 рік) та пам'ятник Софії Фальц-Фейн, вбитій в 1919 ...
