Otrokiv

The village of Otrokiv on the Ushytsia River is located 15 kilometers west of Nova Ushytsia.

It was founded in the 17th century on the site of a small farm. According to legend, the founders were three teenagers (boys), which is where the name came from. According to one of the versions, the Otrokiv Castle, the remains of the walls and one tower of which have survived to this day, was founded in the Lithuanian period (XIII-XIV centuries). In the XV-XVII centuries, there was a cave monastery in Otrokiv (artificial caves in the manor park have been preserved).

In 1736, the Polish tycoon Voytsekh Markhotskyi bought the Mynkovetsky manor. In 1788, the village of Otrokiv was inherited by his nephew Ihnatsiy ...

As the seat of Stsybor-Markhotskyi, Otrokiv reached its greatest prosperity, becoming the second most important city of the Minkivtsi starostvo after Minkivtsi.

The ruins of the manor house have been preserved: the manor house, the triumphal arch, the entrance gate to the forum, the well, the mill, the castle tower and the remains of the castle walls, the church of Paraskeva Serbska with the remains of frescoes.
