The village Zarvantsi is a western suburb of Vinnytsia, a transit settlement on the M-12 (E-50) route. Administratively, it is part of the Vinnytsia district of the Vinnytsia region.
The village has been known since the 17th century, although earlier settlements existed on its territory - a Slavic settlement of the IV-VII centuries, as well as an Iron Age settlement, were discovered. Село Зарванці - західне передмістя Вінниці, транзитний населений пункт на трасі М-12 (Е-50). Адміністративно входить до складу Якушинецької сільської громади Вінницького району Вінницької області.
Село відоме з XVII сторіччя, хоча на його території існували й більш ранні поселення - виявлені слов'янське городище IV-VII століть, а також городище залізного віку. За легендою, Зарванці заснував козак-втіка Зарван, тоді як сусіднє село Якушинці на протилежному березі струмка - його товариш Якуш.
