Blazhenyk

The small village of Blazhenyk is located in the middle of a forest massif on the Volodymyr - Kovel highway.

According to a local legend, the village got its name from a monk who settled in the impassable forests and founded the hermitage of Saint Nicholas. The Orthodox Mykolaiv monastery really existed here in the XV-XVI centuries.

To the west of the village is the Mokretsky reserve - a forest massif in which common ash, European larch, and pedunculate oak grow. Snowdrops bloom en masse in the spring.

The vicinity of Blazhenyk is a mushroom place. In season (end of summer - autumn), fresh mushrooms are often sold near the road here.

Маленьке село Блаженик розташоване посеред лісового масиву на трасі Володимир – Ковель. 

За місцевою легендою село отримало назву від ченця, який оселився у непрохідних лісах та заснував скит Святого Миколая. Православний Миколаївський монастир справді існував тут у XV-XVI століттях.

На захід від села розташований Мокрецький заказник – лісовий масив, у якому ростуть ясен звичайний, модрина європейська, дуб черешчатий. Навесні масово цвітуть підсніжники. 

Околиці Блаженика – грибне місце. В сезон (кінець літа – осінь) біля дороги тут часто продають свіжі гриби.
