General information about Snitkiv

The village of Snitkiv on the Karaets River is located in a hilly area between Murovany Kurylivtsi and Kopaihorod.

Known since the 14th century. During the time of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Snitkiv was a town in the Letychiv district of the Podil Voivodeship. The burial chapel of the Dzerzhek family (1800) and old tombstones in the Polish and Jewish cemeteries have been preserved. The church, which was built in 1857, was rebuilt into a cultural center during the Soviet regime. The buildings of two schools built at the beginning of the 20th century have also been preserved.

To the northwest of the village is the botanical reserve "Valley of irises".
