The ancient village of Nebelytsia is located on the Kyiv-Zhytomyr highway, on the border of Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.
According to one of the versions, this area was first mentioned in 1158 as the Neblsky Volost, gifted by Prince Yaropolk to the Kyiv-Pecherskyi Monastery, but from then until the 18th century, the history of the village is unknown.
In 1764, Nebelytsia was founded as a new settlement on the site of a guardhouse near the mine. The development is connected with the laying of the postal route from Kyiv to Volodymyr.
The Saint Nicolas Church was built in 1851 and restored in 1992 and 2002.
