General information about Motovylivka
The village of Motovylivka on the Stuhna River is located 20 kilometers northeast of Fastiv.
The village on the opposite bank from the current Velyka Motovylivka was founded in 1711 after the end of the Cossack rebellion of Semen Paliy and the return of the Polish landowners Aksaks, when, according to the Prut Treaty, the Motovylivka Cossacks were forced to resettle on state-owned land beyond Stuhna. Until 1940, the village was called Kazenna (Chernecha) Motovylivka.

Село Мотовилівка на річці Стугна розташоване в 20 кілометрах на північний схід від Фастова.
Село на протилежному березі від нинішньої Великої Мотовилівки засноване в 1711 році після завершення козацького повстання Семена Палія та повернення польських поміщиків Аксаків, коли, згідно до Прутського договору, мотовилівські козаки змушені були переселитися на казенні землі за Стугну. До 1940 року село називалося Казенною (Чернечою) Мотовилівкою.
Збереглася дерев'яна Покровська церква, збудована в середині XIX столітті. В сусідній Великій Мотовилівці можна побачити руїни садиби та склеп останніх власників села Руліковських.

Intercession Church

The wooden Intercession Church was built in Motovylivka in the middle of the 19th century on the site of a collapsed stone church, but in smaller sizes.
In the 1930s, the temple was closed by the Soviet authorities, the premises were used as a granary. During the German occupation, religious services were resumed and no longer stopped.
Today, the Intercession Church belongs to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
