Yavora

The mountain village of Yavora is located on the Stryi River in the High Beskids, on the Uzhhorod-Sambir highway, 7 kilometers from Turka.

It was founded by Prince Lev Halytskyi in the 13th-14th centuries as one of the border villages-"nests" with the aim of strengthening the borders of Halicia and protecting the ancient "Rus Way" - a trade route that passed along the valley of the Stryi River.

These are the traditional places of residence of boyky - one of the branches of the tribe of White Croats. The village was first mentioned in 1431.

A wooden chapel from 1907 has been preserved.

In July, the world festival "Boykivska Vatra" regularly takes place here.

Гірське село Явора розташоване на річці Стрий у Високих Бескидах, на трасі Ужгород-Самбір, в 7 кілометрах від Турки.

Засноване князем Левом Галицьким в XIII-XIV сторіччях як одне з прикордонних сіл-"гнізд" з метою зміцнення кордонів Галичини й охорони стародавнього "Руського шляху" - торгового шляху, що проходив по долині ріки Стрий.

Це традиційні місця проживання бойків - однієї з гілки племені білих хорватів. Вперше село згадується в 1431 році.

Збереглася дерев'яна каплиця 1907 року.

В липні тут регулярно проходить всесвітній фестиваль "Бойківська ватра".
