The border village of Hrushovo is located on the N-09 highway between Tyachiv and Rakhiv, at the confluence of the Apshytsia River with the Tysa River, along which the border with Romania passes. Administratively, it is part of the Tyachiv District of Zakarpattia Region.
The official date of foundation is considered to be 1380, although as early as 1241, documents mention the Hrushivsky monastery, which was burned down by the Mongol-Tatars, and which was apparently founded even earlier. In the 17th century, the Hrushivsky monastery became the center of the first printing in the Ruthenian (ancient Ukrainian) language in Transcarpathia. After several centuries of decline, in 1991 the monastery was restored as the Orthodox Hrushivsky Monastery of Archangel Michael.

After several centuries of decline, in 1991 the monastery was restored as the Orthodox Hrushivsky Monastery of Archangel Michael.
The brick Annunciation Church in the center of Hrushovo village was built in 1883.
Local Lore Museum "Sriberna Zemlia" named after Vasyl Tegza
Museum / gallery
The private Local Lore Museum "Sriberna Zemlia" (Silver Land) in the village of Hrushovo was opened in 1994 in the house of Transcarpathian artist Vasyl Tegza, who during his lifetime collected a considerable collection of antiquities.
After the death of the artist, his wife Lyudmila continued the museum work.
Today, the museum has more than 5,000 exhibits in 12 departments. Among them are the handwritten "Gospel" of the 15th century and another 65 old prints, an ancient church chalice, an icon of the Transcarpathian school of painting, coins from the Roman period, rare stamps of many countries.
The ethnographic exposition presents more than 200 samples of clothing, mostly Hutsul, 250 home-woven towels, spinning wheels with bobbins, a large number of household items (vats, butter churns, jugs, berbeniks, painted plates).
Some of Vasyl Tegza's paintings, in particular Transcarpathian landscapes, are also exhibited.
