Verkhni Remety

The ancient Carpathian village of Verkhni Remety is spread out on the banks of the Borzhava River. It was first mentioned in 1329. The name comes from the Hungarian "remete", which means separated, remote.

Many houses built in the traditional Hungarian style, which are more than a hundred years old, have been preserved in Verkhnyi Remety.

There is a large boarding house "Energetik" in the village.

Старовинне карпатське село Верхні Ремети розкинулося на березі річки Боржава. Вперше згадується в 1329 році. Назва походить від угорського "remete", що означає відокремлений, віддалений.

У Верхніх Реметах збереглося багато будинків, збудованих в традиційному угорському стилі, яким понад сто років.

У селі знаходиться великий пансіонат "Енергетик".
