Syniava

The historical village of Syniava on the Ros River is a southern settlement of Rokytne. Administratively, it is a part of the Rokytne settlement hromada of the Bila Tserkva district of the Kyiv region.

It was first mentioned in 1550, although it existed earlier. According to legend, in the year 380 here, on God's Mountain, the king of the Ostrogoths, Vinitar, executed the prince of the Antis God (Bus), his sons and the elders of this Slavic tribe (a memorial sign has been installed).

In the Monastyryshche tract, the remains of the ramparts of the Old Rus settlement of Sinelets, on the site of which a monastery later existed, have been preserved.

The wooden Saint Nicolas Church was founded in the 17th century, and was rebuilt in its present form in 1730.

At the end of the 18th century, when Right-Bank Ukraine became a part of the Russian Empire, the former owner of these lands, the Pole Karvytskyi, sold Rokytne and its surroundings to Count Frantsishek-Ksaveriy Branytskyi. In 1847, a landscape park was laid out in the God's mountain tract and the Branytskyi manor was built, the ruins of which have been preserved to this day.

A landmark of industrial architecture is the water mill of 1904.

Not far from Syniava is an ostrich farm with a mini-zoo.

В кінці XVIII столітті, коли Правобережна Україна увійшла до складу Російської імперії, колишній власник цих земель поляк Карвицький продав Рокитне та околиці графу Францішку Ксаверію Браницькому. В 1847 році в урочищі Божа гора було розбито ландшафтний парк і збудовано садибу Браницьких, руїни якої збереглися донині.

Пам'яткою промислової архітектури є водяний млин 1904 року.

Неподалік від Синяви розташована страусина ферма з міні-зоопарком.
