Vyrivka

The village of Vyrivka is located on the northwestern outskirts of Konotop.

It is mentioned in written sources in 1636. The first settlers were Cossacks.

During the War of Liberation, under the leadership of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, Vyrivka was the Cossack kuren of the Konotop Hundred. Later, it was included in the Novhorod-Siversky vicarage, later in the Chernihiv vicarage of the Konotop district.

Yukhym Shkolyarenko, a merchant of the first guild, greatly contributed to the development of the village at the end of the 19th century. A school, a first aid station and the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin were built at his expense, which has survived to this day.

Село Вирівка розташоване на північно-західній околиці Конотопа.

В письмових джерелах згадується в 1636 році. Першими поселенцями були козаки.

В роки Визвольної війни під керівництвом Богдана Хмельницького Вирівка була козачим куренем Конотопської сотні. Пізніше входило до Новгород-Сіверського намісництва, згодом до Чернігівського намісництва Конотопського повіту.

Розвитку села в кінці XIX століття значно посприяв купець першої гільдії Юхим Школяренко. Його коштом була збудована школа, фельшерский пункт і церква Покрова Богородиці, яка збереглася дотепер.
