Berezne

The city of Berezne on the Sluch River is located between Rivne and Sarny.

Known since the 16th century as Andriev. Belonged to Poland, then to Russia. Magdeburg has had the right of the city since the 16th century.

The last owner was the landowner Mykhaylo Malynskyi - his house now houses a local history museum.

Before the arrival of the Bolsheviks, the city also had an Orthodox cathedral, a Catholic church, and a city gate of the 16th century - none of these monuments survived.

In the middle of the 20th century, a forestry technical school was founded, with which the Berezne State Arboretum was created.
