The village of Yaroshivka in the valley of the Sula River is located 40 kilometers southwest of Romny. Administratively, it is part of the Andriyashivka hromada of the Romny district of the Sumy region.
According to legend, the village of Yaroshivka was founded in the middle of the 17th century by the Yarosh brothers. It is mentioned in the tax registers of 1750-1756. It was part of the Lubny regiment, later - Lokhvytsia district of the Poltava province, then - Talalayika district of the Sumy region.
In 1912, a zemstvo primary three-grade school was opened in Yaroshivka, built according to the design of the famous architect Opanas Slastion, which today is the main architectural monument of the village.
Село Ярошівка в долині річки Сула розташоване за 40 кілометрів на південний захід від Ромнів. Адміністративно входить до складу Андріяшівської громади Роменського району Сумської області.
За легендою, село Ярошівка було засноване в середині XVII століття братами Ярошами. Згадується в податкових реєстрах 1750-1756 років. Входило до складу Лубенського полку, згодом – Лохвицького повіту Полтавської губернії, потім – Талалаївського району Сумської області.
В 1912 році в Ярошівці відкрилася земська початкова трикласна школа, побудована за проектом відомого архітектора Опанаса Сластьона, яка сьогодні є головною архітектурною пам'яткою села.

The Yaroshivka Village History Museum was founded in 1983 at the local secondary school - the current Yaroshivka Gymnasium. The initiator of its creation was a local teacher and local history scholar Anatoliy Zaporozhts, and his students joined in collecting materials.
The museum consists of three rooms and has the following sections: "The History of the Origin of the Cossack Settlement of Yaroshivka", "Folk Crafts of Our Land", "Customs, Traditions, Holidays in the Village", "Rehabilitated by History", "Yaroshivka Residents - Participants in the Union for the Liberation of Ukraine", "World War II", "Agriculture of the 20th Century", "History of the School", "Famous People of the Village" and others.
An exhibition base is being formed for the section on the Russian-Ukrainian War and participants in the struggle for the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine.
