Tukhlia

The village of Tukhlia is located in the valley of the mountain river Opir, 6 km from the popular ski resort of Slavsko.

Closely related to the name of the Ukrainian writer Ivan Franko - it is here that the events of his novel "Zakhar Berkut" take place based on folk tales recorded from the words of local residents. It is Tukhlia that is considered the birthplace of the national hero Zakhar Berkut (a wooden monument is erected on the top of Mount Zakhar Berkut).

You can see the monument to Ivan Franko, Franko's well and the stone that, according to local residents, blocked the mountain stream, which led to the death of the Tatar-Monhols.

On Mount Makivka, on the western edge of the village, a memorial was created in honor of the Ukrainian Sich riflemen who died in 1915 in the battles between the units of the Austro-Hungarian infantry division of von Fleischner (which included 7 hundred of the 1st and 2nd Kuren SSS) and the Russian troops.

На горі Маківка на західній околиці села створено меморіал на честь українських січових стрільців, які загинули в 1915 році в боях між підрозділами австро-угорської піхотної дивізії фон Фляйшнера (до складу якої входили 7 сотень першого та другого куренів УСС) та російськими військами.
