The mountain village of Plavya is located on the Lviv-Uzhhorod highway, 25 kilometers from Skole in the direction of Mukachevo.
It has been known since the 16th century as Splav (wood was rafted through the local rivers).
The village of Plavya is surrounded by the picturesque Dovzhka, Romanovets and Horby mountains.
In 1888, the wooden church of Saint Michael was built.
In 2007, a new ski resort "Plai" was created here, which continues to actively develop and turns into a large tourist complex. In 2010, the Greek Catholic Church of Saint Michael the Archangel was opened with him.

The Museum of National Culture on the territory of the ski resort "Play" in the village of Plavya is a stylized Carpathian country house with a closed courtyard.
The gates and doors are decorated with wood carvings in Boykiv and Lemkiv style.
The museum includes an ethnographic exposition with items of folk life, a working forge, a weaving workshop, a cheese factory, a carpentry shop, windmills and water mills.

The wooden church of Saint Archangel Michael on the territory of the ski resort "Play" was built in 2010 in the classic Boyki style.
The church has a carved iconostasis and a unique candle 2 meters high.
Saint Michael's Church belongs to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.
