Dubrova

The village of Dubrova on the Kolodnytsia River is located among the steep hills of Lviv Opillya, 10 kilometers east of Mykolaiv, near Stilsko. Administratively, it is part of the Stryi district of the Lviv region.

The name of the Dubrova village reflects the natural conditions of the territory - obviously, there was once an oak forest here.

The first written mention of the current village dates back to the 14th century. But as early as the 8th-10th centuries, there was a satellite village of Stilsko settlement, the ancient capital of the tribe of White Croats. Those times are reminiscent of the remains of the cult complex of the White Croats, which includes the Sun Temple ("Dyravets" stone) and a complex of rock caves-cells on the southern edge of the village.

Along the main street of Dubrova, there are several rock massifs with traces of human processing.

This territory is part of the Historical and Cultural Reserve "Stilsko Settlement".

Село Дуброва на річці Колодниця розташоване серед стрімких пагорбів Львівського Опілля за 10 кілометрів на схід від Миколаєва, поруч зі Стільсько. Адміністративно входить до складу Стрийського району Львівської області.

Назва села Дуброва відбиває природні умови території – очевидно, колись тут був дубовий ліс.

Перша письмова згадка про нинішнє село датована XIV століттям. Але ще у VIII-X століттях тут розташовувалося поселення-супутник Стільського городища, давньої столиці племені білих хорватів.

Про ті часи нагадують залишки культового комплексу білих хорватів, що включає Храм Сонця (камінь "Диравець") та комплекс скельних печер-келій на південній околиці села.

Вздовж головної вулиці Дуброви є ще кілька скельних масивів зі слідами обробки людьми ...
