Trubaitsi

The village of Trubaitsi on the Khorol River is located between Lubny and Reshetylivka, next to the M-03 Kyiv-Kharkiv highway. Administratively, it is part of the Lubny district of the Poltava region.

According to historical information, the village was founded in the 18th century by Zaporizhzhians who moved here after the liquidation of the Zaporizhzhian Sich. According to legend, the name Trubaitsi is associated with the fact that one of the first settlers, the hunter Musiyko, often played a special pipe, calling dogs.

From the middle of the 18th to the beginning of the 20th century, these lands were owned by representatives of the Kapnist family. They built a dam that changed the course of the Khorol River, built brick and distillery plants, a steam mill, an oil press and ...

Згідно з історичними відомостями, село засноване у XVIII столітті запорожцями, які переселилися сюди після ліквідації Запорозької Січі. За легендою, назва Трубайці пов'язана з тим, що один із перших поселенців – мисливець Мусійко часто грав на особливій трубці, скликаючи собак.

Від середини XVIII до початку XX століття цими землями володіли представники графського роду Капністів. Вони побудували греблю, яка змінила русло річки Хорол, збудували цегельний та винокурний заводи, паровий млин, маслобійку та інші господарські будівлі, які потім використовувала радянська влада.
