The village of Vereshchaky on the Zubrya River is located 10 kilometers east of Lysianka.
It has been known since 1741, when the village was acquired by the owner Kalynovskyi as part of the Lysianka estate. Since 1864, it belonged to the Branytskyi counts.
The wooden Intercession Church, built in 1775, has been preserved.
Село Верещаки на річці Зубря розташоване в 10 клометрах на схід від Лисянки.

Intercession of Holy Virgin Church

The wooden church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin was built in Vereshchaky in 1775.
It belonged to the 7th class of the state classification and had 46 hectares of land.
As a result of the Soviet anti-religious campaign in 1961, the Intercession Church was closed.
It was reopened for church services in the early 1990s.
