The village of Ivkivtsi on the Ivka River is located between Medvedivka and Holovkivka, next to Kholodnyi Yar.
It has been known since the 17th century as Lavrin Kapusta's farm, but archaeological research shows that there were settlements on the territory of the village even earlier. According to one of the versions, the ashes of Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, taken from the Illina Church in Subotiv on the eve of the Polish attack, were reburied on the top of Semidubova Mountain on the outskirts of the village.
In 1724, the Church of the Intercession was built here, which was revived in 2013.
In Ivkivtsi around 1740, the hero of the Koliyivshchyna, the leader of the Holodoyarsk Haydamaks, Maksym Zaliznyak, was born (a monument was erected).
