General information about Chorniavka
The village of Chorniavka is located next to the Chorniavsky forest between Cherkasy and Chyhyryn.
Founded in the 17th century on the banks of the Tyasmin River, it later moved to its current location.
The wooden Peter and Paul Church, built in 1863, has been preserved.
Село Чорнявка розташоване поруч з Чернявським лісом між Черкасами та Чигирином.
Засноване в XVII сторіччі на березі річки Тясмин, згодом перемістилося на нинішнє місце.
Збереглася дерев'яна Петропавлівська церква, побудована в 1863 році.

Saint Peter and Paul Church

The wooden church of Saints Peter and Paul was built in the village of Chorniavka by order of the Chamber of State Property in 1860, and completed in 1863.
The church was closed for a long time. It was revived in the 1990s, at the same time three small baths, removed during the Soviet era, were restored on the church. The improvised belfry is a piece of pipe hanging on a crane beam.
On July 26, 2015, the Peter and Paul Church in Chorniavka burned down.
