The village of Palanka is located on the E-50 highway near Uman.
Founded in the 16th century. It was part of the possessions of the Kalynovskyi magnates.
It was destroyed after the Liberation War. Restored with the assistance of Uman colonel Mykhaylo Khanenko, who built the church of Saint Paraskeva with his own funds (not preserved).
For some time Palanka belonged to the owner of Uman, Stanislav Potocki, then it went to the treasury.
