Hilcha Persha

Two villages - Hilcha Persha and Hilcha Druha - are located next to each other on the highway between Rivne and Ostroh.

Once they were one village of Holche (Hulcha). It was mentioned for the first time in 1466 in the act according to which it came into the possession of Prince Ivan Ostrozkyi. During the XVIII-XIX centuries, Holche had the status of a town. In the 70s of the XIX century, part of the village was sold to Czech colonists, and since then it has been divided into two parts.

On the outskirts of the village there is a spring of St. Nicholas, the healing properties of the water from which were known even in the times of the Ostrozkyi. The poet Olena Pchilka (mother of Lesya Ukrayinka), who visite ...
