The exhibition of vintage cars in the premises of the first Lviv tram depot on Vitovskoho Street will remain open to visitors only until December 31, 2025.

The Technical Museum "Retro Garage" in Lviv, located in the old tram depot on Vitovskoho Street, will soon cease operations. The city authorities have asked the museum administration to vacate the premises for restoration, said Andrii Hladun, president of the NGO "Retrovyky Lvova" after a meeting with Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi.

"The hangar is at the disposal of the city and is now in critical condition, in connection with which it is necessary to begin repair work, and to remove the equipment. At the moment, the location of the new museum has not yet been determined, the issue is being worked out. Andriy Ivanovych promised not to forget about "Retrovyky Lvova" and to inform as soon as specific information appears," the message says.

Currently, the administration is actively looking for a new location for the museum. Deputies of the Lviv City Council also appealed to the city executive authorities with a request to provide the museum with new premises so that "Retro Garage" can continue to exist and receive visitors.

In connection with the closure of the museum, "Retrovyky Lvova" announced that on December 28 at 2:00 p.m. the city's retro season will be closed in "Retro Garage". Those who wish are invited to join in retro attire. And from January 1, the museum administration will begin removing equipment.

Технічний музей "Ретро Гараж" у Львові, що розташовується у старому трамвайному депо на вулиці Вітовського, незабаром припинить роботу. Міська влада попросила адміністрацію музею звільнити приміщення для проведення реставраці, повідомив президент ГО "Ретровики Львова" Андрій Гладун після зустрічі з мером Львова Андрієм Садовим.

"Ангар перебуває у розпоряджені міста і зараз є в критичному стані, у зв’язку з чим необхідно розпочати ремонтні роботи, а техніку – вивезти. Наразі місце розташування нового музею ще не визначене, питання опрацьовується. Андрій Іванович пообіцяв не забути про "Ретровиків Львова" та повідомити, щойно з’явиться конкретна інформація", – йдеться у повідомленні.

Наразі адміністрація активно шукаює нову локацію для музею. Депутати Львівської міської ради також звернулися до виконавчої влади міста з проханням надати музею нове приміщення, щоб "Ретро Гараж" далі існував та приймав відвідувачів.

У зв'язку із закриттям музею "Ретровики Львова" оголосили, що 28 грудня о 14:00 в "Ретро Гаражі" відбудеться закриття міського ретро-сезону. Охочих запрошують долучатися у ретро-вбранні. А вже з 1 січня адміністрація музею розпочне вивезення техніки.
