The longest wooden bridge in Ukraine was repaired in Poltava region

The longest wooden bridge in Ukraine across the Udai River in the village of Kaplyntsi in the Poltava region was repaired by local residents on their own initiative. This was reported by the administration of the Pyriatynskyi National Nature Park, on the territory of which the structure is located.

"This picturesque bridge connecting the banks of the Udai River in the Pyriatynskyi National Nature Park is almost a hundred years old and has become dangerous to pass through. It was a real public rally that united all residents to restore an important local landmark." told in the national park.

Zhanna Maltseva, the owner of the local estate of green tourism, initiated the renovation. According to her, caring people collected funds for building materials, and the local government helped with organization.

"A lot of work was done - not only the surface of the bridge was changed, but also the lower beams," the organizer said on the Facebook page of her institution.

The famous Kaplyntsivskyi wooden bridge is more than 230 meters long. It was built in 1934, so it is already quite old and was in a state of disrepair until recently. But after the repair, it became much safer to move around. The local community hopes that this will help attract more tourists to Kaplyntsi.

Найдовший в Україні дерев'яний міст через річку Удай у селі Каплинці на Полтавщині відремонтували місцеві мешканці з власної ініціативи. Про це повідомила адміністрація Пирятинського національного природного парку, на території якого розташована споруда.

"Цей мальовничий міст, що єднає береги річки Удай у національному природному парку "Пирятинський", має майже сто років і став небезпечним для проходу. Це була справжня народна толока, яка об'єднала всіх мешканців для відновлення важливої місцевої пам'ятки", – розповіли в нацпарку.

Ініціаторкою ремонту стала власниця місцевої садиби зеленого туризму Жанна Мальцева. За її словами, небайдужі люди зібрали кошти на будівельні матеріали, а місцева влада допомогла організаційно.

"Була проведена велика робота – міняли не тільки поверхню мосту, а й нижні балки", – розповіла організаторка на Facebook-сторінці свого закладу.

Знаменитий Каплинцівський дерев'яний міст має довжину понад 230 метрів. Він збудований у 1934 році, тож уже доволі старий і до останнього часу перебував в аварійному стані. Але після ремонту пересуватися ним стало набагато безпечніше. Місцева громада сподівається, що це допоможе привабити до Каплинців більше туристів.
