The white and gray houses of the Kosachs in Kolodiazhne were in an unsatisfactory condition for a long time, and the renovation of the museum will not be limited to their long-awaited repair.

The presentation of the updated exposition of the restored memorial houses of the Kosach family took place in the Kolodiazhne Literary and Memorial Museum of Lesya Ukrainka in Volyn. As reported by the press service of the Volyn Regional State Administration, the opening was combined with the "Summer at the Kosachs Manor" festival and timed to the 175th anniversary of the birth of Olena Pchilka, the writer's mother.

It is noted that the white and gray houses of Kosachs, which belonged to Lesya Ukrainka's family, were in an unsatisfactory condition for a long time and needed repair.

"In 2021, historical buildings were reconstructed at the expense of the state and regional budgets, but the opening was prevented by a full-scale Russian invasion. Today, thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the opening of a restored manor house and the presentation of the exposition of the museum space "White and Gray Houses of Kosachs" became possible in the Volyn region, they said. in the press service.

The administration of the museum reported that within the framework of the festival "Summer at the Kosachs Manor" the implementation of the project "Kosachs Manor - a modern center of cultural narratives and meanings of Ukrainian society", financed by the Ukrainian Cultural Fund, also began.

"The main product of the project is the re-exposition of the Kosachs manor, its opening to the general public as a modern cultural center for the formation of Ukrainian national identity. In addition to the promenade performance, promotional films will be created and familiarization with the Kosachs manor will be carried out," the museum explained.

Before the full-scale war and the pandemic, up to 25,000 visitors came to see Lesya Ukrainka's family estate every year.

Презентація оновленої експозиції відреставрованих меморіальних будинків родини Косачів відбулася в Колодяжненському літературно-меморіальному музеї Лесі Українки на Волині. Як повідомляє пресслужба Волинської обласної державної адміністрації, відкриття поєднали із фестивалем "Літо в садибі Косачів" та приурочили  до 175-річчя від дня народження Олени Пчілки, матері письменниці.

Зазначається, що білий і сірий будинки Косачів, що належали родині Лесі Українки, довгий час перебували у незадовільному стані і потребували ремонту.

"У 2021 році історичні будівлі реконструювали коштом державного та обласного бюджетів, однак відкриттю завадило повномасштабне російське вторгнення. Сьогодні, завдяки Збройним силам України, у Волинській області стало можливим відкриття відновленої садиби та презентація експозиції музейного простору "Білого і сірого будинків Косачів", – розповіли у пресслужбі.

В адміністрації музею повідомили, що в межах фестивалю "Літо в садибі Косачів" також розпочалася реалізація проєкту "Садиба Косачів – сучасний осередок культурних наративів і сенсів українського суспільства", який фінансується Українським культурним фондом. 

"Основним продуктом проєкту є реекспозиція садиби Косачів, її відкриття широкому загалу, як сучасного культурного центру формування української національної ідентичності. Окрім вистави-променаду будуть створені промоційні фільми та проведено ознакування садиби Косачів", – пояснили в музеї.

До повномасштабної війни та пандемії щороку подивитися на родовий маєток Лесі Українки приїжджало до 25 тисяч відвідувачів.
