The archaeological exposition of the museum, formed from artifacts found during excavations on the territory of Zaliztsi region, tells about the history of the region from the Paleolithic era to the 18th century.

A new archaeological exhibition was officially opened in the Zaliztsi Museum of Local Lore, located in the village of Zaliztsi in the Ternopil region. The opening took place within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Management of Archaeological Heritage and Museum Practices", reports the press service of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration.

"The Zaliztsi Museum has unique exhibits not only at the level of the region, but also of the entire country. The historical heritage of our people is collected here, which tells about the life of our ancestors. We must support the museum institutions of the region and popularize them among the population," said the deputy head of Ternopil RMA Viktor Ustenko, who took part in the event.

The new exposition presents more than a thousand archaeological monuments found during excavations on the territory of Zaliztsi region. In particular, there are exhibits from the Paleolithic, Bronze, Iron, Roman Empire, Slavic-Rus period, and the 16th-18th centuries.

Director of the Ternopil Regional Center for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Monuments, Maryna Yagodynska, handed over another valuable exhibit to the museum exposition - an iron sword of the 13th-14th centuries.

Нову археологічну експозицію офіційно відкрили у Залозецькому краєзнавчому музеї, що в смт Залізці на Тернопільщині. Відкриття відбулося в межах Міжнародної науково-практичної конференції "Управління археологічною спадщиною та музейні практики", повідомляє пресслужба Тернопільської обласної військової адміністрації.

"Залозецький музей має унікальні експонати не лише на рівні області, а й усієї країни. Тут зібрана історична спадщина нашого народу, яка розповідає про життя наших предків. Ми повинні підтримувати музейні установи краю, та популяризувати їх серед населення", – зазначив заступник начальника Тернопільської ОВА Віктор Устенко, який взяв участьу заході.

В новій експозиції представлено понад тисячу археологічних пам’яток, знайдених під час розкопок на території Залозеччини. Зокрема, тут є експонати періодів Палеоліту, бронзи, заліза, Римської імперії, слов’яно-руського періоду та ХVI-ХVIII століть.

Директорка Тернопільського обласного центр охорони пам'яток культурної спадщини Марина Ягодинська передала до музейної експозиції ще один цінний експонат – залізний меч ХІІІ-ХІV століть.
