An architectural monument of the end of the 19th century burned down in Zhytomyr Region

The House of Culture was located in the premises of the building from the historical and cultural complex, which was built in Chervone at the end of the 19th century for the workers of the sugar factory by Ukrainian patrons and entrepreneurs of Tereshchenko.

"The wooden floors between the floors, the roof, the walls - it was all original from the end of the 19th century (except for the upholstery of the walls). Now it's all gone, it was completely burned down," the message states.

"Four rescue units participated in extinguishing the fire: three from Andrushyvka and one from Berdychev. The fire was extinguished at 00:40. The causes of the fire are being established," Iryna Romanyuk, press officer of the State Emergency Service in Zhytomyr Region, said in a comment to Suspilne.

Будинок культури розташовувався в приміщенні будівлі зі складу історико-культурного комплексу, який збудували в Червоному в кінці 19 століття для робітників цукрового заводу українські меценати та підприємці Терещенки.

"Дерев'яні перекриття між поверхами, дах, стіни - це все було оригінальне кінця ХІХ століття (окрім оббивки стін). Тепер всього того немає, воно вщент згоріло", - зазначається в повідомленні.

"У гасінні пожежі брали участь чотири відділення рятувальників: три з Андрушівки і одне з Бердичева. В 00:40 пожежу загасили. Причини загоряння встановлюються", - повідомила пресофіцерка Держслужби з надзвичайних ситуацій у Житомирській області Ірина Романюк в коментарі Суспільному.
