The room-museum of the outstanding art critic in the Dubno Castle will operate on a permanent basis, but its exposition will be variable.

The first museum exposition in Ukraine, dedicated to the outstanding Ukrainian art critic, Hero of Ukraine Borys Voznytsky, was opened in the Dubno Castle in the Rivne region to mark the 98th anniversary of his birth. This was reported by the press service of the Rivne Regional State Administration.

Borys Voznytsky was born on April 16, 1926 in the village of Ulbariv in the Dubno region, he was an honorary resident of Dubno. He headed the Lviv National Art Gallery for many years. He is best known for the rescue, reconstruction and preservation of historical and cultural monuments. It was Voznytsky who brought Olesko Castle back from ruin and oblivion, worked on the restoration of Pidhirtsi and Dubno Castles. And on his initiative, the ancient castles of Galicia: Olesko, Zolochiv, Pidhirtsi and Svirzh were united in the so-called "Golden Horseshoe".

On the occasion of Boris Voznytsky's birthday, the exhibition "Reviver of Ukrainian Castles" was opened in the Dubno Castle, which will become a museum room. Most of the exhibits for the exhibition were provided by the daughter of the Hero of Ukraine. Larysa Voznytska-Razinkova also presented the book "The Cathedral of Boris Voznytsky", published in 2019.

"We are proud of the fact that such a room-museum has opened in the Rivne region. Borys Voznytsky is a great person. He devoted more than half a century to the rescue, protection and preservation of monuments of culture and art. During his leadership, thousands of works of art were saved, and his the gallery has become one of the largest art museums of Ukraine. It has educated a whole constellation of young museum workers," said Lyubov Romanyuk, head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Rivne Regional State Administration.

The opening of the exhibition was preceded by a prayer service in the chapel of God's prophet Ilya in the over-gate building of the castle, and the main celebrations took place in the palace of the Lubomirski princes.

Першу в Україні музейну експозицію, присвячену видатному українському мистецтвознавцю, Герою України Борису Возницькому, відкрили в Дубенському замку на Рівненщині до 98-річчя з дня його народження. Про це повідомляє пресслужба Рівненської обласної державної адміністрації.

Борис Возницький народився 16 квітня 1926 року в селі Ульбарів на Дубенщині, був почесним жителем Дубна. Багато років очолював Львівську національну галерею мистецтв. Найбільше він відомий порятунком, відбудовою та збереженням памʼяток історії та культури. Саме Возницький повернув з руїни і забуття Олеський замок, працював над відновленням Підгорецького та Дубенського замків. А за його ініціативи стародавні замки Галичини: Олеський, Золочівський, Підгорецький та Свірзький, були об’єднанні у так звану "Золоту підкову".

З нагоди дня народження Бориса Возницького в Дубенському замку відкрили виставку "Воскреситель українських замків", яка стане кімнатою-музеєм. Більшість експонатів для виставки надала донька Героя України. Лариса Возницька-Разінкова також презентувала книгу "Собор Бориса Возницького", що вийшла друком у 2019 році.

"Ми пишаємося тим, що саме на Рівненщині запрацювала така кімната-музей. Борис Возницький – це велична людина. Понад пів століття він присвятив порятунку, охороні та збереженню пам’яток культури і мистецтва. За час його керівництва врятовано тисячі творів мистецтва, а його галерея стала одним із найбільших художніх музеїв України. Виховав цілу плеяду молодих музейників", – зазначила начальниця Управління культури і туризму Рівненської ОДА Любов Романюк.

Відкриттю виставки передував молебень у каплиці Божого пророка Іллі у надбрамному корпусі замку, а основні урочистості відбулися в палаці князів Любомирських.
