Наразі експозиція Чаплинського краєзнавчого музею розміщена у 8 залах, де відтворено природу та далеке минуле краю, більшовицького перевороту 1917 року, колективізації, Другої світової війни, а також інтер'єр сільської хати з рушниками та старовинними предметами. Тут піч, прядка, глиняний посуд, скриня, дитяча колиска, ікони та інше.

Увага! В ніч на 1 квітня 2017 року в музеї сталася пожежа, яка знищила експозицію музею та частину фондів.
