"Kryvyi Rih - Main" Railway Station
The railway station "Kryvyi Rih - Main" is one of the oldest architectural monuments of Kryvyi Rih.
The station was opened in 1884, originally it was called "Dolhintsevo" after the surname of General Dolhintsev, on whose land it was built. In 1905, an extension was made on the southern side of the station, and in 1912, reconstruction was carried out.
On the station square there is a steam locomotive-monument Em 733-69, built in 1934 in Luhansk. Established in 1997 as a memorial sign to drivers and other workers of Ukrainian railways.
The Kryvyi Rih railway annually provides up to 17% of the national volume of all rail freight transportation.
