Attractions of Pidhorodtsi

The Ethnomuseum of Culture and Life "U Dvori" was created in the village of Pidhorodtsi near Urych in 2018 with the aim of popularizing Boykos culture and preserving the memory of the life of grandfathers and great-grandfathers.

The museum is located on the territory of the former estate of the Galician scientist-naturalist Stanislav Kostiantyn Petrusky, who founded the first zoo-menagerie in Galicia here in the middle of the 19th century.

The museum contains a collection consisting of about 4,000 exhibits in working condition. These are objects of ancient rural life, tools of the Boykos, work tools, traditional clothing and embroidery. A separate exhibition is dedicated to the figure of Stanislav Petrusky and his scientific heritage.

The ethnomuseum is part of the recreation complex "U Dvori". In addition to excursions, the complex offers a number of interactive activities: master classes (baking bread, churning butter, pottery, making eco-bags), photo shoots in ethnic clothing, tasting Carpathian tinctures in the 18th century dungeon, dinners with traditional dishes, Carpathian tea drinking, authentic souvenirs in the shop.

The complex includes a four-room hotel with all amenities.
