Bobrovytsia

The city of Bobrovytsia is located on the Bystrytsia River 100 kilometers northeast of Kyiv, between the Chernihiv and Sumy highways.

Founded in the 11th century, the remains of the fortress of the princely era have been preserved. In the 16th century, it was the town of the Oster Starostvo of the Kyiv Voivodeship, then the hundredth city of the Kyiv Regiment, and in the 18th century - the parish center of the Kozeletsky County.

In 1807, Viktor Kochubey built a sugar factory here. In 1893, a stone Church of the Assumption was built on the site of the wooden church. At the beginning of the 20th century, industry began to develop.

Now it is a typical provincial city with indistinct architecture.

Місто Бобровиця розташоване на річці Бистриця в 100 кілометрах на північний схід від Києва, між чернігівською та сумською трасами.

Засноване в XI сторіччі, збереглися залишки городища княжої доби. В XVI столітті було містечком Остерського староства Київського воєводства, потім сотенним містом Київського полку, а в XVIII столітті - волосним центром Козелецького повіту.

В 1807 році Віктор Кочубей побудував тут цукровий завод. В 1893 році на місці дерев'яного храму була побудована кам'яна Успенська церква. На початку XX століття почала розвиватися промисловість.

Зараз це типове провінційне місто з невиразною архітектурою.
