Fastivtsi

The village of Fastivtsi on the Oster River is located 25 kilometers northwest of Bakhmach.

It was probably founded by immigrants from Fastiv in the Kyiv region. It was mentioned for the first time in 1424 in the charter of Prince Svydryhaylo of Chernihiv. In 1654-1781, Fastivtsi were part of the Ivanhorod Hundred of the Nizhyn Regiment.

In 1743, the stone Church of the Assumption was founded, which has survived to this day in a rebuilt form after the reconstruction in 1863.

On the outskirts of Fastivtsi there are burial mounds of the Bronze Age (II-I millennium BC): "Zubova's Grave", "Hostra's Grave", "Pantyukhova's Grave".
