Zinkiv

The city of Zinkiv on the Tashan River is located 80 kilometers north of Poltava.

It was first mentioned in 1604 as a fortress of the Commonwealth of Nations. During the War of Liberation, Zinkiv became a small town of the Poltava Regiment, then a regimental town. Since the end of the 17th century, the city was part of the Poltava Province of the Russian Empire.

In the center of Zinkiv, a number of architecturally interesting public buildings from the beginning of the 20th century have been preserved, in particular the house of the merchant Vozdvizhenskyi. The Church of the Nativity of Christ was built in 1991.

Місто Зіньків на річці Ташань розташоване в 80 кілометрах на північ від Полтави.

Вперше згадується в 1604 році як фортеця Речі Посполитої. За часів Визвольної війни Зіньків став сотенним містечком Полтавського полку, потім - полковим містом. З кінці XVII століття місто входило до складу Полтавської губернії російської імперії.

В центрі Зінькова зберігся ряд цікавих в архітектурному плані громадських споруд початку ХХ століття, зокрема будинок купця Воздвиженського. Церква Різдва Христового побудована в 1991 році.
