Sorotske

The village of Sorotske is located 30 kilometers southeast of Ternopil.

It was first mentioned in 1474, when it belonged to the viceroy of the Polish king Mazey. Later it became the property of Count Potoski. The Church of the Intercession was built in 1863. The prominent composer and conductor Yevhen Kupchynskyi, who led the mixed church-pedagogical choir in Sorotske in 1906, served as a priest in it. The grave of Kupchynskyi was preserved in the village, a memorial plaque was installed.

Вперше згадується в 1474 році, коли воно належало наміснику польського короля Мазею. Згодом перейшло у власність графа Потоцького. Покровська церква побудована в 1863 році. В ній служив священиком видатний композитор і диригент Євген Купчинський, який очолив в 1906 році в Сороцькому змішаний церковно-педагогічний хор. В селі збереглася могила Купчинського, встановлено меморіальну плиту.

Також зберігся костел, зведений в 1937 році.

Поруч з селом розташована гідрологічна пам'ятка природи "Сороцьке джерело", з яким пов'язана історія про явище Божої Матері та чудодійні властивості води. Біля джерела стоїть кап ...
