The village of Pravdyne is located between Kherson and Mykolaiv, 10 kilometers south of the E-58 (M-14) highway (turning point in the village of Posad-Pokrovske).
It was founded in 1846 by immigrants from the former Polish territories that became part of the Russian Empire (Podilskyi, Vilnaskyi and Hrodnoskyi provinces). The village was first named Tsarevodar in memory of the fact that new lands in the Kherson region were given to the settlers as a gift from the tsar.
By the end of the 19th century, the Catholic community of the village built the Corpus Christi Church at its own expense, which has survived to this day. In the village cemetery, you can also see an ancient chapel in the pseudo-Byzantine style.
