The village of Pidlisnyi Mukariv is located 20 kilometers northeast of Dunaivtsi.
Known since the 15th century. At the end of the 18th century, the owner of these lands was Karolina Hozdska, the wife of the famous French adventurer Prince Charles de Nassau-Siehen.
The church of Joseph the Betrothed, built in 1859-1872, has been preserved.
Село Підлісний Мукарів розташоване в 20 кілометрах на північний схід від Дунаївців.
Відоме з XV сторіччя. В кінці XVIII століття власницею цих земель була Кароліна Гоздська, дружина відомого французького авантюриста принца Шарля де Нассау-Зігена.

The brick church of Saint Joseph the Betrothed in the late Neo-Gothic style was created at the expense of the parishioners of Pidlisnyi Mukariv in 1859-1872 at the initiative of priest Bazyliy Shakh.
In 1933, the temple was closed by the Soviet authorities. During the German occupation, the church functioned. The shrine was closed again in 1962. Only in 1989, the Church of Saint Joseph the Betrothed was returned to believers.
