Amvrosiivka

The city of Amvrosiivka is located 60 kilometers southeast of Donetsk, 20 kilometers from the Russian border.

It was founded in the 18th century as a village of the brigadier and judge of the Don Army Amvrosiy Lukovkin. In 1776, the village of Blahodatne, then the settlement of Amvrosiivka, existed on the site of the farm. In 1869, the station village of Amvrosiivka was founded during the construction of the Kursk-Kharkiv-Azov railway, which is considered the official date of the city's founding.

In 1896, the entrepreneur Kovalev started the construction of the Donetsk cement plant, in 1898 the Chorny cement plant was built. The city even now specializes in the production of building materials.

Засноване в XVIII сторіччі як хутір бригадира й судді Війська Донського Амвросія Луковкіна. В 1776 році на місці хутора існувало село Благодатне, потім слобода Амвросіївка. В 1869 році засновано станційне селище Амвросіївка при будівництві Курсько-Харківсько-Азовської залізниці, що вважається офіційною датою заснування міста.

В 1896 році підприємцем Ковальовим розпочато будівництво Донецького цементного заводу, в 1898 році було побудовано цементний завод Чорного. Місто і зараз спеціалізується на виробництві будівельних матеріалів.
