General information about Spaske

The village of Spaske on the Kilchen River is located 20 kilometers north of the Dnipro city. Administratively, it is part of the Dnipro district of this Dnipropetrovsk region.

The Cossack winter camp existed at this place as early as 1650. The current village of Spaske was founded in 1750 by Trokhym Kazynets, a retired Zaporozhzhian foreman of the Baturynsky kuren.

There is a historical and local history museum.

A picturesque panorama of the village opens from Spaska mountain, where, according to legends, a wooden Cossack church once stood.

Near the village there is a stocked lake, equipped for recreation and fishing.
