Sursko-Lytovske

The village of Sursko-Lytovske on the river Mokra Sura is located on the southern outskirts of the Dnipro city, immediately behind the Southern Bypass. Administratively, it is part of the Dnipro district of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

It was founded in 1795 as a settlement for workers of the Katerynoslav state cloth factory, who were relocated here from Belarus (Belarusians were then called Lithuanians).

At the beginning of the 20th century, the family of icon painter Pavlo Reshetnykov lived in Sursko-Lytovske, in which the future classic of socialist realism Fedir Reshetnykov was born in 1906. The school building of 1916 has been preserved, where the Fedir Reshetnikov Memorial Art Museum was opened.

Cело Сурсько-Литовське на річці Мокра Сура розташоване на південних околицях Дніпра, одразу за Південною обхідною дорогою. Адміністративно входить до складу Дніпровського району Дніпропетровської області.

Засноване в 1795 році як поселення працівників Катеринославської казенної суконної фабрики, яких переселили сюди з Білорусі (білорусів тоді називали литвинами).

На початку XX століття в Сурсько-Литовському мешкала родина художника-іконописця Павла Решетникова, в якій в 1906 році народився майбутній класик соцреалізму Федір Решетников. Збереглася будівля школи 1916 року, при якій відкрито Меморіально-художній музей Федора Решетникова.

На місці зруйнованої більшовиками церкви Святої Трійці зведено каплицю. В 2011 році збудовано церкву Святого Духа - зменшену копію храму ...
