The village of Chortoryia on the left bank of the Sluch River has been known since 1449, when there was a small Lithuanian fortification here.
In the 16th and 17th centuries it belonged to the princes of Ostrozki.
The village began to be called Stara Chortoryia after the village of Nova Chortoryia appeared on the opposite bank of the river.
In the 18th century, the village belonged to the landowner Dublyanskyi.
The Trinity Church, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century, has been preserved.

The stone church of the Holy Trinity is located in the center of the village of Stara Chortoryia. The temple was built at the beginning of the 20th century. A new bell tower was recently added to the church.
The Trinity Church is an active church. It belongs to the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.
