The village of Kryva Luka is located on the right bank of the Siverskyi Donets, 15 kilometers southeast of Lyman.
Founded in the second half of the 18th century. Nearby, a Mesolithic site and a settlement of the Bronze Age were discovered, the remains of a Neolithic settlement and workshops, two settlements of the Late Bronze Age, a burial ground of the Saltiv culture and a nomadic burial ground of the XI-XIII centuries were preserved.
The administration of the steppe nature reserve "Cretaceous Flora" is located in Kryva Luka.
Село Крива Лука розташоване на правому березі Сіверського Донця в 15 кілометрах на південний схід від Лиману.
Засноване у другій половині XVIII століття. Неподалік виявлена мезолітична стоянка та поселення епохи бронзи, збереглися залишки неолітичного поселення й майстерні, два поселення пізньої бронзи, могильник салтівської культури та кочівницький могильник XI-XIII століть.
В Кривій Луці розміщується адміністрація степового природного заповідника "Крейдова флора".

Steppe Nature Reserve "Cretaceous Flora" is the only place in Ukraine where the natural bier of a relict coniferous plant - the Cretaceous pine - has been preserved.
Other rare plants: Bush's bird's milkweed, blackened cross-leaves, double-breasted tulip, Don fight, Russian grouse. Moreover, plants that are usually found exclusively on chalk outcrops grow here together with plants of mountain, coniferous and broad-leaved forests.
The reserve "Cretaceous Flora" is a branch of the Ukrainian steppe nature reserve. It is located in the valley of the Siverskyi Donets River between the villages of Zakotne and Kryva Luka.
