The village of Avdiivske is located at the exit from Donetsk towards the Dnipro. Founded in the second half of the 19th century.
Until 2024, the village was called Pervomaiske. In 2024, in accordance with the requirements of the law of Ukraine "On condemnation and prohibition of propaganda of Russian imperial policy in Ukraine and decolonization of toponymy", the village was renamed to Avdiivske.
Route E-50 (M-04) "Znamyanka - Luhansk" passes along the village. Road service infrastructure is being developed.
