The farm began to be called Chernihivka. Later, it was renamed Krasnoiarske by the Soviet authorities. In 2024, in accordance with the requirements of the law of Ukraine "On condemnation and prohibition of propaganda of Russian imperial policy in Ukraine and decolonization of toponymy", the village was returned to its historical name - Chernihivka.
