Uhlove

The village of Uhlove is located near the shore of Kalamit Bay of the Black Sea, 25 kilometers west of Bakhchysarai. The resort area is located in the bay between Capes Kermenchik and Lukull.

It was first mentioned in 1688 as the Tatar settlement of Adzhi-Bulat on the way from Hezlov to Balaklava. Before the Soviet administrative reform, the village belonged to the Duvankoy volost. In 1944, almost all the inhabitants of Adzhi-Bulat were deported to Central Asia and in their place were brought immigrants from the Oryol and Bryansk regions, and the village was renamed Uhlove.
