Popivka is a small resort village in the western part of Crimea, 30 km west of Evpatoria.
It was first mentioned in 1887.
Popivka has been widely known all over the world since 2001 as the venue for a large-scale youth dance music festival "Kazantip". The festival was held annually in July-August until the beginning of the Russian occupation of Crimea in 2014.
Popivka has the cleanest golden sandy beaches on the western coast of Crimea. The swimming season starts in the second half of May.
Nearby is the salty Oybur Lake with healing mud.
