Khomutyntsi

The village of Khomutyntsi on the granite banks of the Postolova River is located 40 kilometers north of Vinnytsia, 10 kilometers from the M-21 highway Vinnytsia - Zhytomyr. Administratively, it is part of the Khmilnytskyi district of Vinnytsia region. The village was first mentioned in literature in 1735 as Kashperivka.

In 1752, a wooden church of John the Baptist was built on the hill above the Suprun pond, and the modern church of the same name was built in its place. In 1752, a wooden church of John the Baptist was built on the hill above the Suprun pond, and the modern church of the same name was built in its place. In the middle of the 19th century, Father Vasyl Rudanskyi, the father of the outstanding Ukrainian poet-biker Stepan Rudanskyi, who was born and grew up in Khomutyntsi, served as the rector of the church. A literary museum has been opened on the site of the poet's parents' house, on the basis of which the tourist complex "Rudanskyi Estate" is being formed. Next to the church is a one-story brick priest's house from 1913, which now houses a kindergarten. In 1969, a monument to Rudanskyi by the sculptor Ivan Honchar was erected in front of the local school building. An old linden tree near the school is considered to be Rudanskyi's age. The granite rock on the left bank of the Postolova River is called the "Rudanskyi stone".

Every year in the middle of January, on the poet's birthday, the All-Ukrainian festival of satire and humor named after Stepan Rudanskyi "And I'm exploring the living world again" is held in Khomutyntsi.

"Каменем Руданського" називають гранітну скелі на лівому березі річки Постолової.

Щороку в середині січня, на день народження поета в Хомутинцях проводять Всеукраїнське свято сатири і гумору імені Степана Руданського "І я знов живий світ оглядую".
