Malekhiv

The village of Malekhiv is a suburb of Lviv on the way out of the city towards Dubliany and Zhovkva.

The village existed even before the founding of Lviv, it was first mentioned in 1377 in Polish sources as the farmstead of Malokhy, bought by the Ruthenian Yan Makhovych. In 1419, the town received Magdeburg rights.

The Church of Saint Michael the Archangel (XVIII century) and the Church of the Holy Mother of God (XVIII century) have been preserved, the main shrine of which is considered to be the recently discovered icon of the Holy Family from Nazareth.

Село існувало ще до заснування Львова, вперше згадується в 1377 році в польських джерелах як фільварок Малохи, куплений русином Яном Маховичем. В 1419 році містечко отримало Магдебурзьке право.

Зберігся костел Святого Архангела Михаїла (XVIII століття) і церква Пресвятої Богородиці (XVIII століття), головною святинею якої вважається знайдена нещодавно ікона Пресвятої Родини з Назарету.
