Davydiv

The village of Davydiv is located at the exit from Lviv in the direction of Ivano-Frankivsk, just beyond the district road.

It was probably founded in the 12th century by Prince Davyd Ihorovych. Davydiv is first mentioned in 1355, when the Polish king Kazymyr III handed it over to Hryhoriy Temnysh from Silesia. In the future, the village repeatedly passed through the hands of different feudal lords.

The church of Saint Stanislav, founded in 1600, has been preserved.

Between Davydiv and Lviv there is a picturesque hilly area known as "Lviv Switzerland" and the Vynnyky Forest.

Село Давидів розташоване на виїзді зі Львова в бік Івано-Франківська, одразу за окружною.

Ймовірно, засноване в XII сторіччі князем Давидом Ігоровичем. Вперше Давидів згадується в 1355 році, коли польський король Казимир III передав його Григорію Темнишу з Шлезка. Надалі село неодноразово переходило з рук в руки різних феодалів.

Зберігся костел Святого Станіслава, заснований в 1600 році.

Між Давидовом і Львовом розташована мальовнича горбиста місцевість, відома як "Львівська Швейцарія", та Винниківський ліс.
